Almost a year.

It's been almost a year. November will really be a year, but I'm long over due for an update anyways. I've gained most of the weight back that I had lost prior to my surgery. I'm not nearly as active as I was last year. I wish that I was. I'm very unhappy with the way that I look. But back to subject. I haven't had any problems at all since I had it taken out. I'm loving the fact that I can eat, and drink once again with out the fear of the severe pain. The problem is that now, it affects me some where else. The grease and the fat does bother me at times. Other than that, everything is ok.

Update

Well it's been a few months and so far I'm really loving having my gallbladder out. No more acid reflux at all!!! I'm finally pain free. For the most part lol. If I eat something with way too much fat it kinda hurts. But this pain is nothing like what I had before. This pain is tolerable unlike the other pain. That pain made me feel like I was dying.... I haven't really gained weight because of it. Good thing. I'm really really happy.

Almost two months

It's been almost two months since surgery. Things are going good. I'm learning that the greasy fast food doesn't like my body which is what I expected. I can have certain foods, from certain places and not be bothered. But other things, tear me up. The pain isn't so nice. I have noticed a change in my eating habits. For the good. I'm maintaining my weight. I'm doing good. I haven't really changed at all. I'm curious to see how it aids me in losing weight when I start losing again. I can't wait to see. I'm doing a really good job on maintaining so I think it's time to start losing again.

2 weeks

It's been two weeks today. I'm feeling great. I haven't had a single issue with eating food in regards to the acid reflux. I'm loving the results. I'm still learning about the changes in the digestive system in regards to the bathroom lol. But so far, it's all going great. I tend to go to the bathroom sooner though. That's the one thing that I've noticed the most. Other than that, it's going pretty good. I'm taking it easy though when it comes to eating. I'm still trying to eat smaller portions if I can help it.

I'm doing good with the lifting. I'm feeling better about lifting heavier things. Not to heavy of course. I can carry April but not for long. As long as she's not squirming around too much and she's about 25 pounds I think.

I have yet to weigh myself. I most likely won't for awhile. I'm not sure.

One week

Tomorrow will be one week. A lot has changed I would say. My body feels different after eating. I don't have the horrible pains thank goodness. But, there are other parts of my body that are doing different actions now and it feels different. I think I'm going to like being able to eat and not fear when the pain is going to hit. Not fear about eating certain foods or when I can eat them. Not having to worry about carrying medicines with me. I am so far liking it. I was able to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner with no problems. The only thing that I have to get used to is, watching what I eat and paying attention to where I'm going to be in case I need to use the restroom. The feelings down there regarding the digestive system is different. You think you gotta go, but you don't. I have to watch my fat intake. It might be a good thing because we don't need that much fat anyways... so if I get in the habit of watching how much fat I take in then I shouldn't have a problem with my fear of gaining weight. I just gotta keep moving. And watch what I eat....

Third Day

Well we're going on day three. I can move around a lot better. I took most of the dressings off this morning and I get to attempt to take a shower later. My back hurts a lot from the way that I have been walking but it's going to get better once I am able to walk completely straight. Food wise I'm still taking it easy. I had fish and mashed potatoes and rice and it went very easily.

Today is the first day for activity along digestive lines let's just say. It's different and it's very uncomfortable. Not as bad as it could be, but it sucks. A lot of work for very little outcome lol.

So far no vomiting though. I haven't really felt sick except for when I take a pain killer on an empty stomach.

That's about all for now.

Awesome Website

I found a great website for low fat foods. It tells you what foods you should avoid, and which ones you can eat if your doing a fat free/low fat diet. It's really helpful.
